Trust & Security
You trust BalanceWhiz with information about your household finances. We take that responsibility seriously. Here's how we protect your information, keep your forecast private, and handle subscription payments.
Your financial information stays in your control
BalanceWhiz is a cash-flow forecasting tool. It is not a bank or a payment service, and it does not hold your money.
You enter your balances, income, bills, and expenses yourself. BalanceWhiz does not ask for your online banking username or password, and it does not connect to your bank accounts.
Secure connections
BalanceWhiz uses HTTPS. Information sent between your browser and BalanceWhiz is encrypted while it is on its way.
How your information is stored
Your forecast information is stored in a managed database. BalanceWhiz uses infrastructure providers with security protections designed to safeguard stored information.
We continue to review our data protection and recovery practices as BalanceWhiz grows.
Account protection
When you sign in, BalanceWhiz uses a protected login session. On the public site, the session cookie is sent only over a secure connection.
Secure subscription payments
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. BalanceWhiz does not store your full payment card number. Stripe handles the card details. BalanceWhiz keeps the subscription information it needs to know whether your plan is active.
Your forecast is private
The balances, income, bills, and notes you enter are used to build your cash-flow forecast.
That forecast belongs to your household. People you invite to the household can see it. Other BalanceWhiz customers cannot.
We do not sell the financial information you enter, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles. The Privacy Policy describes what else we collect, including basic website measurement on balancewhiz.com, and how to contact us about your information.
Sample forecast
You can explore a fictional sample forecast without creating an account or entering your own finances. Changes you make there stay in your browser. They are not saved to a personal account.
